Whiskey Sour
Updated: Jun 24, 2020

Ingredients
2 oz whiskey (I usually use bourbon for these)
1 oz lemon juice, fresh squeezed (the fresh is important! Always use fresh juice citrus when making a cocktail)
1 oz simple syrup (See the note below)
Notes before you begin
We’ll be using simple syrup in this recipe. To make simple syrup, combine equal amounts sugar and water in a saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool use to sweeten any cocktail or iced drink!
Instructions
Combine whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice(or mason jar if you don’t have one). Shake until the outside is cold (about 10–15 seconds).
Fill the glass with ice (I usually use a rocks glass or something I would drink whiskey out of) and pour in the drink through a fine mesh strainer. It’s traditionally to garnish with a cherry but hard herbs like rosemary work as well. Enjoy!
